Name: Carol Starkey
Age: 25
Interesting thing that happened the month and year you were born: Because of the prices of crude oil, war broke out between Iran and Iraq.
Earliest memory: It seems odd that I could remember this, but when I was just a few months old, my mom held me in her lap while my dad drove. We got in an accident, and I remember flying forward and what the numbers on my dad's side looked like.
Three random things about you: I like my coffee really sweet, I can't wait to dye my hair red again, and I am really picky when it comes to wrapping presents. They have to be just right!
If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your life, it would be: maybe 'kraut dogs, or chili dogs, or grilled hot dogs w/ kethup and mustard (I'm in a very hot dog mood)
Book you most recently finished: Rose Madder
Books you're most currently reading: Do children books count? Cuz I didn't get any grown-up books while we were at the library.
CD you can't stop playing lately: None. Our CD player on the computer is broken. Grr!
CD you'd listen to 10 times a day and not get sick of: The Princess Bride
TV show(s) you never miss: Friends, Desperate Housewives, Dancing with the Stars
Movies you've seen at least a thousand times: The Lion King, Bug's Life, Snow White, Milo and Otis, The Princess Bride, The Little Mermaid, Diamonds are Forever (most of these are b/c I worked at a school, and the Bond one is cuz it's come on a ton lately and Jon loves Bond.), Shrek, Shrek 2, Spiderman, Spiderman 2, all three HPs
Stupidest/worst/most boring movie you've ever seen: I actually have to agree w/ Bethany--Being John Malchovitch was pretty dumb, The Mummy, and another I can't remember the name of, but it was the worst waste of going to the move theatre ever!
Store you could easily blow your life savings at: Old Navy, Carter's, Gap
Store most of your clothes come from: Old Navy, Wal-Mart, thrift stores
The best concert you've ever been to was: The Portland Symphony Orchestra performing The Magic of Christmas (but I don't know if it counts as a concert)
Would you ever try out for American Idol? Nope. Can't sing.
How 'bout Survivor? Never seen it, so probably not.
Favorite late-night TV host: Since I only stay up till 10 (and ocassionally till 10:30), this one doesn't quite apply. Sorry. :(
Website you visit several times a day: yahoo.com, livejournal.com
Restaurant you'd eat at all the time if you could afford it: Olive Garden, TGiFriday's
Favorite alcoholic drink: don't drink
Did you vote for George W. Bush either time? Yep, both. Remember, I'm old.
Favorite shoes: The most adorable pair of black flats that are kind of like ballet shoes. I got them at Payless, but it's too cold and snowy to wear right now. Can't wait for spring!
Hidden talent: Okay, this one is weird and I haven't done it in years, but I'm sure I could if I tried. It sounds kind of like a mix between a burp and a shout (it's really loud) and I used to be able to say short words while doing it. But it hurts my throat (and, of course, I grew up). If anyone has seen the move it Don Knotts playing a fish (the title is something like The Incredible Mr. Limpitts), the sound he makes is the closest I can come to describe the sound.
Favorite game show: I already told you I was old, so this one should come as no surprise: The Price is Right. Jon and I would love to go on!
Guilty pleasure: If Jill gets candy, it's usually me who ends up eating it. Also, watching Desperate Housewives.
When is the last time you car danced? Since I don't drive very often, I have no idea!
What's the last thing you took a picture of? Chuckles. He was oozing down from on top of the cupboards. For a fat cat, he can get in some really small spaces!
When did you last go to a party? Ha! Party? What's a party? The last one I went to was Sadie's fifth birthday party back in September!
What are you going to do when you finish this? Go bring in the laundry.
Last question: any last words? Yes. Did you know that Iraq warned the US of Osama bin Ladan in the 80s? Wow!
