Jul. 4th, 2006 02:09 pm My living room floor is clean! I swept it and mopped it today. They're wood, and we just recently got a mop, but it's so nice to have a clean floor. Mind you, they're in sad need of a refinishing, so to look at it is to see no difference, but I know it's clean.
Starting last night, I convinced Beth that she needs to sleep in at least the car seat and not in Mama's bed. Today, she's taking a nap in the crib. That's right where I want her, so maybe she's on our way out of the car seat.
People, this kid demands attention. On Thursday, I was so concerned about her that I called Dr. Emery's office. She wasn't eating very well and was very difficult to awaken. He checked her out and told me to take her to the hospital and have her bilirubin level checked (she had slight jaundice). Of course, she turned out fine. But she really scared me. While there, I found out she weighed 7 lbs, 9 oz (they usually lose weight after birth). Yesterday, she was up to 8 lbs, 8oz. That's one oz. short of a pound! Holy crow! And she's grown half an inch since birth. But last night, I noticed she had a lot of green goop in her eye. Dr. Emery the first time he saw her told me it was nothing to worry about, but if it got worse, to call him. It had completely gone away--until last night. And I can't keep her eye clean. I'll wipe it, and it'll be back in ten minutes or so. So Jon and I will have to take her in tomorrow. *sigh* What next? Really, I'm not worried, but it would be nice to stay home rather than go to the doctor every other day.
Anyway, I don't really have much to say, so y'all get out and watch some fireworks!
