Queen of the Dorks

So today I thought I'd play with some lipstick that my mil gave me (it was given to her, but she didn't like the color). It's by Cover Girl, and supposed to be colorfast. You put on the color, then this clear gloss over it, and it's supposed to stay all day. So I put the color on. Not very well, but you know how it is sometimes--you just fix it and go on. Not so with this stuff. After looking at it, I decided it was too dark for me, so I went into the bathroom to wash it off. First I tried plain water. Nope. Just as dark as ever (and uneven, of course, since I put in on badly in the first place). Next I tried soap. Nothing. I tried more soap and scrubbed as hard as I could. Nothing. I went on a wild hunt for my makeup remover, but of course couldn't find it. Finally out of desperation, I tried brushing my lips with toothpaste. After scrubbing my lips for a couple minutes with the toothbrush, about half came off. The color's not so bad now, and the uneven parts aren't even noticeable, but I'll never doubt CG when they say the lipstick is colorfast again!
